Sociology Prof. Charlie Moskos dies at age 74

Prof. Charlie Moskos, a nationally renowned military sociologist and popular NU professor, died Saturday morning after a long battle with prostate cancer, his wife Ilca said today. He was 74. Moskos, a Princeton University and University of California Los Angeles alumnus, came to Evanston in 1966 from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.…

UPDATED 11:18 p.m. Wednesday | ASG senators defeated a constitutional amendment to create a vice president for the organization Wednesday night but created the office by changing the ASG code, bringing a three-week long debate and amendment process to a close. Cook County judge halts programs at NU center

After 20 years of friendly and mutually beneficial relations, a lawsuit filed by the National Safety Council against Northwestern's Center for Public Safety threatens to damage the relationship between the two organizations.
