Clean up NU, bin your cigarette butts
Aside from all the dead grass, it's fair to say that Northwestern has a beautiful campus. While Associated Student Government spends its Wednesdays worrying about taking away ground flyers, we at the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws-Students for Sensible Drug Policy at NU are looking for ways we can help improve our campus. What dirties our campus, more than active student groups, is the cigarette butts. There are two simple solutions to this problem. First, ASG and NU should throw down some money to put in more ash trays and cigarette disposal points. The ones that we currently have are insufficient in number and not being used. Next, when all the lazy smokers out there (like myself) are finished with their cigarettes, they should hold onto their butts and put them in a bin.
