Northwestern beats Minnesota 49-48 in front of homecoming crowd
Wildcats win in overtime thriller

Down by three touchdowns in the third quarter in Saturday's game against Minnesota, Northwestern scored three unanswered touchdowns of their own to tie the game at 35 with eight seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

After both teams scored touchdowns in the first overtime, the Wildcat defense stopped Minnesota on a two-point conversion attempt in the second overtime to win the game 49-48.
