My name is Maeve Wall. I'm a junior English major who is thinking the same thing you are: what do you do with a degree in English?

I'm passionate about issues of social justice and worked in a low-income pre-school last year with Jumpstart for Young Children and taught this summer at an independent school in East Harlem, New York. I'm from Columbus, Ohio and am proud of my Midwestern heritage, on an endless mission to convince the world that Columbus is "cool" and devoid of tractors and Amish carriages.

On campus, I'm a Wildcat Welcome peer adviser, former Alternative Student Breaks leader, and Vice President of Membership of my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. I'm also a member of the Brady Scholars Program for Ethics and Civic Life. Other interests include: running, Mac Miller and hipsters- preferably those with moustaches. I made my "Daily" debut in the blind date section, "Organic Chemistry" and thus am highly enthusiastic about making a more suitable name for myself as a columnist!
