Did Josh Walfish even read the grand jury indictment? Did he read the entire thing? I would imagine, as a "journalist" he would have done his due diligence and developed some sort of deductive reasoning. It seems he did not in his Nov. 9 column, "Giving a great coach due respect." No rational human being would deduce that Paterno is without fault after reading the facts.
If you were told about a 10-year-old child being raped in the shower by your former colleague, would you just tell your boss and wash your hands of it? Really, think about that scenario. Now imagine you were the most powerful person in the state of Pennsylvania and did nothing but tell an administrator in the school. No follow up. That's the right thing? If so, you need to question your own morals.
Any member of society would immediately call the police and report such a terrible crime. It's not an everyday complaint, it's one of the most offensive and disgusting criminal acts a person can commit. If you don't do everything in your power to stop it then you are just as bad.
