Event: Disney Channel Original Movie Marathon

Where: McCormick Auditorium in Norris, 1999 Campus Dr.

When: Saturday, Feb. 25 at 6:00 p.m.

A&O Productions will be hosting a Disney Channel Original Movie Marathon for free this weekend. The event will consecutively be showing Brink!, The Luck of the Irish, Johnny Tsunami, and Smart House.  We all watched them growing up, so reminisce about those tween years and get your Disney Channel on.

 

Event: Danceworks 2012

Where: Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Dr.

When: Thursday, Feb. 23, Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m.

 

The Theatre and Interpretation Center presents its annual faculty-choreographed dance show featuring Northwestern students. The show surrounds a theme of how humans represent their personal realities through movement and dance. This production will also be taking the stage next weekend. Student tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.

Event: Black History Month Celebration—Spoken Words with Rob Austin

Where: Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St.

When: Saturday, Feb. 25, beginning at 3 p.m.

End Black History Month on a high note by listening to poet Rob Austin perform spoken word in the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center's upstairs gallery.

Chicago

Event: Center on Halsted On the Red Carpet Oscar Party

Where: Park West Theater, 322 W. Armitage Ave.

When: Sunday, Feb. 26, beginning at 6 p.m.

Dust off your tuxedo and put on your best haute couture to walk the red carpet at the Center on Halsted's Oscar party. For $30 you can enjoy balcony seating, a buffet dinner and gourmet snacks while you watch a live broadcast of the ceremony.
