The Rundown

HIT: Beyoncé and Jay-Z released photos of their new daughter, Blue Ivy, via a Tumblr account set up specifically for the baby. Kudos to the couple for not going the tabloid magazine route. Who knows where the couple's newfound openness to publicity is coming from, but no one's complaining.

The Grammys 2012 were one of the most entertaining recent awards shows. LL Cool J, in a suit and black Kangol hat, started the show with a touching and heartfelt prayer for Whitney Houston. From the outset, Adele was clearly the favorite of the night. She won six Grammys including Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Her acceptance speech reminded us why we love her — she's super adorable, snot and all. Bruno Mars had one of the best performances of the night with his James Brown-inspired dancing, but Adele's full-band rendition of "Rolling in the Deep" produced the night's longest standing ovation.

MISS: However, the unexplainable double performances (Foo Fighters, Chris Brown and Paul McCartney) and Nicki Minaj's over-the-top exorcism-inspired performance (why is everyone copying Gaga?) were definitely the misses of the evening.

Six-time Grammy winner and incomparable singer Whitney Houston died unexpectedly this past Saturday at 48 years old. The cause of death is still being investigated. She was a legend in the music world and will truly be missed.

As per usual, Disney stars are behaving badly. Mitchel Musso of "Hannah Montana" fame and Ryan Merriman, star of Final Destination 3 and Disney channel's The Luck of the Irish, both received probation sentencing for separate DUI cases.

Jennifer Lopez, in another example of what not to do if you're in your 40s, is naked and ridiculously airbrushed in an advertisement for her 18th fragrance. What are all the other ones, Glow No. 1-No. 17?
