At a free event Tuesday night in Fisk Hall, members of the Beehive Design Collective presented their Plan Colombia narrative. The Collective's mission is to create images that educate people about geopolitical issues. The presentation, sponsored by the Peace Project, included handmade posters illustrating the effects of globalization and drug war policies in Colombia.

Here on the Chicago campus, many of us have always had that problem with CTA buses and trains, having to arrive early or leave late (or vice versa!) due to overcrowding. Plus, the rush hour traffic can be horrendous, whether driving or using public transportation -- another reason to alter one's schedule.In other words, boo hoo. While it'd be lovely to have buses appear at will, or U.S.S. Enterprise transporters, we can't always get what we want.
