Tomorrow's column better lack generalities, Maltby (Letter to the Editor)

Honestly, I have no strong feelings about the Keg closing. I've actually never been there. But after reading this and the other articles covering this issue, I feel bad for Migon. This has been his livelihood for a long time, and to have it taken away just like that -- based on ONE person's obviously uninformed decision -- must be crushing. I agree with the liquor board officials quoted in the article that he should have been monitoring the bar's online presence, even if he wasn't responsible for what was posted. But the fact that Tisdahl used those tweets against him despite obvious evidence that the account was NOT affiliated with The Keg is moronic. I think he might have a real case if he were to appeal the decision. However, that doesn't mean the Keg would go back to the way it was if it were to reopen. Tisdahl seems to have made underage drinking her #1 priority in Evanston as of late -- despite multiple armed robberies occurring around Northwestern's campus -- and I don't think she has any intention of backing down.

Early decision is awesome and should stay. It is a great University policy that allows prospective students to show their commitment to Northwestern, unlike prospective students who apply to NU at regular decision along with a multitude of other "safety" Midwestern schools. A switch to early action will reel in the latter crowd, which quite frankly, doesn't belong here.

The seniors on the team only have two national titles, they lost their sophomore year to Maryland in the title game.
