EAST LANSING, Mich. - Junior quarterback C.J. Bacher threw for a school-record 520 yards and five touchdowns as the Wildcats won a back-and-forth offensive battle 48-41 in overtime against Michigan State. The Cats had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but Amado Villarreal missed a 36-yard field goal wide left. The Cats scored on their first drive in overtime, with Bacher hitting running back Omar Conteh from 12 yards out. The NU defense forced four straight incompletions by quarterback Brian Hoyer to ice the game. The Cats move to 3-3 and the Spartans fall to 4-2.
